… so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. – Ephesians 4:14-16
The salvation Christ gave us as believers through his death and resurrection was not just for our lives someday in eternity, but also changes our lives now– for whom, why, and how we live. While it is ultimately God who works in us to make us more like Him, the calling of all believers is to grow towards maturity as Christians. One way we build each other up as a church is in the context of accountability and discipleship groups. Currently, we have:
- Friday Night Bible Study- dinner at 6:45 pm, study starting at 7:30 pm
- Women’s discipleship- groups for women in all walks of life from college through motherhood and beyond
- Men’s discipleship- men’s accountability and discipleship groups, for men college-aged and above
- Evangelism training- discipleship and accountability in the context of equipping individuals to share the gospel
Even if not in a formal group setting, we strongly encourage all regular attenders to actively pursue accountability relationships with other believers.
